As Residence Manager, you’ll oversee the daily operations of the Málaga Summer Junior Residence in a live-in role, reporting to the Summer Manager. You’ll lead and train Residence Advisors, manage program schedules, develop activities, handle student discipline, and oversee stock management.
Job details:
Duration: 10–12 weeks (end of May – August), including training days in late May.
Work authorization: Valid work permit for the EU/Spain required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage and train the Junior Campus staff, including Course leaders and Residence Advisors.
Plan and supervise staff hours and hold weekly staff meetings.
Ensure the Junior Residence is set-up (branding, stock, etc.) prior to student and staff arrivals.
Assist in the planning of student arrivals and departures, as well as special events such as orientations and graduation ceremonies.
Liaise on a day-to-day basis with the Host Family Coordinator and the Summer Campus Manager to ensure the students’ wellbeing and satisfaction.
Handle student discipline and behavior concerns. Liaise with our Sales Offices to address students’ welfare and disciplinary issues.
Be available to work late nights for some events, such as arrivals, departures, and to assist with emergency situations should they arrive.
Share emergency phone duties assigned to senior staff members.
What we are looking for:
Fluent in Spanish & English
Previous experience working with students.
A strong leader and team player who can motivate and guide a team with minimal supervision.
Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining the high standards expected by EF and our students.
Skilled in connecting with others, handling concerns, and ensuring a positive student experience.
A "go above and beyond" mentality, always seeking ways to enhance the experience for students and staff.
