Job Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our primary care practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions, and manage overall patient care
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests including lab work and imaging studies
Prescribe medications and treatments according to state regulations and clinical guidelines
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, emphasizing preventive care and health maintenance
Document patient care activities in electronic health records with accuracy and thoroughness
Provide patient education regarding disease prevention, health maintenance, and management of chronic conditions
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
Board certification in Family Practice or Adult Medicine
Current DEA registration
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an NP, preferably in primary care
Strong understanding of evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with electronic health record systems
MUST SPEAK ENGLISH AND SPANISH
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with population health management
Experience with quality improvement initiatives
