DFYF’s programs are divided into 3 categories: Treatment, Prevention, and Education. DFYF offers specialized mental health counseling, kindergarten readiness, afterschool and summer programming to meet the diverse needs of our youth and family population. DFYF proudly serves over 6,300 youth, adults, and families each year. We are seeking Licensed Social Workers and Licensed Counselors who are passionate about working with youth!

What you will do as a School-Based Licensed Social Worker or Counselor:

The School-Based Licensed Social Worker (LSW, LISW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, LPCC) provides clinical assessment, mental health counseling, case management, care coordination, and support to youth within their designated school. Collaborate with school staff, parents and community resources to support youth's mental health and well-being. As a school-based clinician you will assess and document client presenting problems, history, symptomology, mental status and diagnosis. Assist in developing treatment goals and objectives and employ strategies of intervention that are supported by our trauma-informed framework.

Responsibilities:

Conduct individual sessions with clients to address mental health, provide education and support to promote overall well-being.

Collaborate with school staff, parents and community resources to support youth's mental health and well-being

Maintain accurate and up to date clinical documentation,

Participate in regular supervision and professional development to enhance clinical skills

Requirements:

Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling, or Bachelor's degree in Social Work with LSW

Current Ohio LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC license

Experience working with youth in a school-based setting preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Must be a self-starter, be able to exhibit flexibility, work independently and as part of a team

Valid Driver's License, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
