Our Shop/Yard Team plays a critical role in managing inventory, maintaining equipment, and keeping the installation crews on track. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports To: Branch Owner

Teams With: Shop & Yard Personnel as well as Fence Install teams

Directs: NA

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Must have good communication skills.

A need to win and an passionate spirit.

Have a positive attitude.

Have the ability to think quickly and problem solve.

Reading and reading comprehension at a 10th grade level.

10th grade math skills.

Be mechanically inclined.

Be able to work well in a team environment where situations and demands change daily.

Must be physically fit and able to perform strenuous manual labor required.

Must have experience operating a forklift. Other heavy construction equipment experience is a plus.

Experience with Microsoft Excel a plus

Experience with welding or carpentry a plus

POSITION GOAL

Responsible for assisting in managing inventory, maintaining equipment, organizing materials need for jobs sold and loading installation trucks for the days job(s), while focusing on the company’s mission of “Providing quality fence installations and build relationships that last a lifetime.”

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Must have a positive can-do attitude daily.

Demonstrate the Seegars Fence Company Core Values daily.

Must maintain a First Aid, CPR, safety, forklift and Bobcat certifications (and others required for equipment operation)

Assist in maintaining truck and equipment fleet.

Maintain an orderly yard and warehouse

Unload incoming materials and supplies, verify the quantity and condition of the goods and fill out incoming freight sheet.

Pull and stage materials for sold jobs in designated staging areas.

Load installation trucks with materials required for daily work load.

Must be able to read a tape measure.

Shall dress appropriately with SFC uniform or T Shirt.

Is responsible for arriving to work on time, prepared to start immediately.

Maintain a valid driver’s license and record that meets SFC insurance standards for driving company vehicles.

Perform monthly fire extinguisher inspections and document tag accordingly.

Perform fence repairs and installations in the field as needed.

Perform small repairs to tools and equipment.

Every applicant must undergo pre-employment background check and drug screen. If hired, Updates are required annually.
