The Stores Admin Clerk is responsible for providing administrative support to the warehouse operations team. This includes maintaining records, processing documentation, coordinating inventory activities, and ensuring data accuracy to support the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
Prepare shipping and receiving documents such as invoices, packing lists, delivery notes, and purchase orders.
Update and maintain inventory systems and warehouse databases.
Assist with stock-taking, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.
Communicate with suppliers, transport companies, and internal departments regarding deliveries and shipments.
File and archive warehouse documents and records according to company policies.
Assist in scheduling and coordinating warehouse activities.
Generate reports for inventory, discrepancies, and warehouse performance as required.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Support warehouse staff with general administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or administration is a plus.
Proven experience in a warehouse or administrative role.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
Familiarity with warehouse or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, WMS) is an advantage.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
Office environment within a warehouse setting.
May require occasional lifting or movement of items up to 20 kg.
May involve extended hours during peak periods.
