Job Description
NASCO Products a 22nd Century Group subsidiary is looking for an experienced Cigarette Making Operator responsible for operating cigarette making machine on the production floor. The Making Operator is responsible for maintaining all necessary production records, quality checks, and waste documentation in accordance with work instructions. Accountable for performing machine and area cleaning in a safe and efficient manner as directed by company safety rules and operating procedures.
The hours for this role are Tuesday-Friday 5:30am-4:00pm. (4 10 hour shifts) and overtime as production needs.
Essential Functions:
Load and unload material on making machines, conveyors, and conveyances
Operate making machinery used in the production process in a safe manner
Work with making mechanics by identifying machine issues and material problems as necessary
Perform quality checks and inspect products to verify conformance to quality standards
Verify materials and product according to product specifications
Keep work area clean and orderly
Monitor waste
Any other duties assigned by manager

Required Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
3+ years in high-speed industrial production environment required.
Minimum 3 years operator experience with high-speed manufacturing equipment required.
Cigarette/Cigar manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills preferred.
Strong sense of urgency and ability to diagnose machine issues, respond to machine faults and message displays.
Detail oriented, strong problem-solving skills.
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to make good decisions independently with good judgement.
Must be able to lift 15lbs.
