Xentity is seeking a skilled Geospatial GIS Data Manager to support and manage critical land management geospatial data for our national-level clients. If you are passionate about ESRI tools and have experience with GIS data management, ETL processes, and data transformations, we would love to have you on our team. You will play a key role in managing data flows, lifecycle, and publishing, working alongside cartographers, data analysts, data scientists, and land planners to modernize and streamline data workflows.

In this role, you will be responsible for gathering product requirements, analyzing vector data sources, designing target schemas, supporting geodatabase management (SDE), and developing automated scripts for data transformations. Additionally, you will support geospatial product generation and collaborate with various GIS specialists to enhance map production workflows. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex projects that will impact land management data programs and contribute to innovative geospatial solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

Geospatial Data Management (80%)

Gather geospatial product requirements from product owners and stakeholders.

Analyze vector data sources (databases, services, files) and design target schemas.

Compile natural resource and topographic data to support base map production.

Develop ETL scripts to support data translation and field mapping transformations into geodatabases.

Support SDE geodatabase replication to various production environments.

Operate in ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise and SAFE FME for database management and automation.

Support the project team in modernizing data workflows and streamlining map production using authoritative data.

Maintain documentation for data management processes.

Geospatial Product Generation (20%)

Support enhancements and troubleshooting for workflow automation in ESRI POD.

Support data feature configuration in ArcMap (MXD) or ArcGIS Pro (APRX).

Support export of data map packages from SDE and publishing to ArcGIS Online, including feature services, map services, and downloadable products.

Operate ArcGIS Hub sites and curate content libraries and content groups in the environment.

Manage Portal for ArcGIS, including data publishing, basic access, and configuration.

Develop and maintain process and technical documentation.

Collaborate with GIS specialists (e.g., GIS Developers, GIS Systems Specialists) to analyze and support geospatial product workflow automation.

Provide documentation and light training to product end-users, data stewards, and cartographers.

Job Requirements:

4 Total Years of Experience which includes:

3+ years of experience with geospatial editing in ESRI Desktop ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro.

3+ years of experience in data management using ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise (SDE), AGOL, and Portal.

1+ year of experience in ArcGIS configuration for MXD, APRX, WMS, and WFS.

1+ year of experience in data transformation using Python scripting, SAFE FME, or similar Geo ETL tools.

Cartographic and map production experience is a plus.

Federal civilian experience in land management data programs is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Geography, Environmental Science/Policy).

Must be able to pass basic NACI, background, drug, and reference checks.

Must demonstrate fast, quality typing/coding and visual prototyping skills.
