A manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Control Inspector Technician to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with overtime as needed.
Duties:
Assist with the monitoring of employee compliance to company Quality Management System
Inspect vendor and company manufactured components and finished goods
Analyze customer and regulatory requirements, support customer and agency audits, ensure Quality Assurance record retention, and track and document all components and materials
Program mechanical and visual inspections of components and document, tag, and segregate products in accordance with all procedures
Conduct in-process inspections and final signoffs on all assemblies, monitor scheduled work and sales orders, and facilitate testing of finished goods
Attend manufacturing and engineering staff meetings
Manage the calibration of all test equipment and quality control tools and document any non-conforming parts, materials, or assemblies
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must have a College Degree or 2 to 5 years Quality related experience
Experience with ISO 9001-2005 or similar Quality Management System is required
Must have experience in leading projects of significant scope and contribute expertise as required on other projects
Must have strong knowledge of GD&T as well as the ability to use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring equipment
Must have the ability to work with other departments to develop or improve testing methods and protocols
Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and able to learn and use QMS and ERP Software programs
Must have the ability to read and interpret drawings, instructions, bills of materials, and review RFQ/RFP's
Must have excellent communication, strong math, and basic business writing skills
Must be able to pay a high attention to detail while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Must have the ability to travel to vendor and customer sites to discuss quality issues
Must be able to work overtime when needed
