To be considered for this position, you must reside in Puerto Rico.

This position is responsible for aggressively growing sales and market share in their assigned territory for innovative product offerings that benefit manufacturing companies. As a Sales Rep, you’ll sell industrial supplies such as cutting tools, abrasives, metrology, and MRO. Our desired candidate must have contacts in the manufacturing industry and a willingness to learn the necessary technical knowledge. The ideal candidate will reside on the island’s west side, but we will consider any candidate with all the skills in any other part of the island.

We will only consider candidates who reside on the island of Puerto Rico, have established relationships in the manufacturing industry, and have reliable transportation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads

Communicate with customers and prospects to identify and understand their product or service needs

Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs

Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management

Resolve any customer concerns that may arise post-sale

Communicate with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements

Maintain detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business, or any customer-vendor relationship problems

Provide periodic territory sales forecast

Providing excellent internal and external customer service and resolving any customer concerns that may arise

Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES

Ability to work from a home office/ virtual environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software or related software

Outstanding sales, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills

Demonstrated knowledge or interest in cutting tools/abrasives/MRO Products

Travel to customers as required: overnight when required

Possess an established list of contacts in the manufacturing industry

Understanding of industrial distribution

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Degree in marketing, business, or related field OR

Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Ability to drive vehicle to and from Shively or customer locations

Prolonged period of standing

Must be able to walk in a manufacturing plant environment and be exposed to excessive or frequent temperature changes

Must be able to lift up to 25lbs at a timeCompany Description
