Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To ensure the delivery of brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times, reinforcing Hyatt’s Values and culture characteristics
To follow all skills trained in the departmental core Training
Take care of the equipment as if it were your own
Know the daily targets and projections
Attend lunch and dinner brief with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
To be fully conversant with all services, offers, promotions and facilities offered by the hotel
Communicate effectively between all internal workplace restaurant departments i.e managers, kitchen staff, bar tenders
Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems, to include par levels as set by the management
Adhere to the correct restaurant pathways
To alert any potential problems to your direct supervision, where possible before they arise
Attend all training where required, having an avid interest in learning and education surrounding their venue and products
To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employee Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety
To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
Update guest notes 100% i.e. make detailed guest notes after service on each of your own tables
To be charismatic and make conversation easily and with an array of people
To be driven by achieving a rounded sales experience, using selling skills as trained
Able to effectively manage their dedicated working areas and delegate where appropriate
Meets sales mix expectations
Meets sales and spend forecasts
Have a thorough understanding of the local industry
Following international and local Bar and Drink trends
Closely follow and complete opening and closing procedures and check lists for the bar and obtain a manager signature
Serve alcohol responsibly and report any concerns to duty manager immediately.

2. Provide information regarding the hotel’s facilities & services.
3. Be informed and keep your supervisor informed of all matters that may affect your work, the hotel’s service or reputation.

5. Be flexible and open to change in your job responsibilities, work area and /or roster to meet business needs.
6. Be understanding, supportive, encouraging and helpful to guests as well as suppliers and your colleagues.
7. Care about your environment and make sure it is tidy and well maintained.
8. Be reliable and ensure you are at work on time.
9. Know your role in case of emergency such as bomb threat, flood, fire etc.
10. Understand the Employee Handbook and comply with the standards it outlines.
11. Carry out all professionally reasonable instruction given by your supervisor.
12. Report all incidents, accidents and guest complaints in briefings
Technical Expertise
Handle cashiering duties in accordance with policies & procedures
Providing service to guests in accordance with service standards
Prepare the bar for service
Check bar stock and prepare orders for replenishing of supplies
Know the menu/special promotions and assist guests with recommendations
Know all beverage recipes and prepare all drink orders accordingly
Control cost by adhering to quantities specified in all beverage recipes
Ensure all opening and closing duties are implemented accordance with established standards
Assist in service in the other FB outlet when required
Ensure the bar areas is maintained clean and tidy
Minimum 2- 5 years of experience as a bartender
Good knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, mocktails, and beverages
Positive attitude, good communication, and team player
Must be presentable and professional under pressure
Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
