• Monitors Learning Resource Center operations and facilities, including activities like statistics, developing work plans, managing facilities, and supervising on a day-to-day basis.
• Monitors the Learning Resource Center’s technical service activities (e.g., acquiring, processing, cataloging, maintaining, and circulating resources).
• Monitors the publicities of library activities and materials through displays, bibliographies, brochures, news releases, newsletters, web sites, etc.
• Prepares and proposes new systems; evaluates and improves existing library applications.
• Updates library systems such as the Learning Resource Center website.
• Collaborates and develops partnerships with other libraries or institutions.
• Coaches librarians and prepares his / her team to facilitate LRC activities for the students
• Monitors book circulation in the library
• Provides resources to enhance the productivity of the library.
• Collaborates with teachers to find out the required teaching aids and supporting teaching material
• Supports the learning activities as a librarian teacher.
• Actively understands the evolving curriculum needs and aligns library services to meet the needs in a timely manner.
• Conducts and initiates surveys in the present usage of the library.
• Plans in adding non textbook collection to support the learning activity (e.g., biography, novel, history collection, CD, DVD, CD-ROM).
• Promotes and enhances the use of library in the school environment:
o Plans to introduce the library to students (i.e., reading anthology, library tour).
o Educates users, especially teachers, to optimize the use of library for learning purposes.
• Ensures proper rules and sets up policies to educate users to enjoy, respect and contribute to the positive use of the library.
• Assist in the Reading Programme of the school (Read Theory, etc.)
• Management Support Activities:
o Provides report to the Direct Supervisor
o Suggests improvement process related to activities in area of responsibilities (especially related to time concern, effort, and cost)
o Performs activities related to Quality Management System
o Performs additional tasks related to key responsibilities as required by Direct Supervisor
Education Requirement:
• Minimum holder Bachelor Degree (S1)
Work Exposure/ Experience:
• Minimum 2 years working experience in senior staff, or
• Minimum 4 years working experience
