We're looking for a skilled CMM Programmer to for a first shift posistion. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating programs for coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure accurate inspection of precision components. The ideal candidate can interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models, while also determining any required tooling or fixturing. You'll also be responsible for writing clear setup instructions and developing inspection documents to support the CMM process.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement CMM programs using PC-DMIS software
Review part designs, models, and engineering drawings to plan inspection processes
Create in-process inspection sheets and work instructions
Ensure compliance with GD&T requirements
Support first article and in-process inspections, particularly in aerospace applications
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of recent experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Familiarity with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling machines
Ability to work from both CAD models and 2D technical drawings
Eexperience inspecting aerospace components preferred
Bachelor's degree is a plus
Prior machining experience (5 years preferred)
