Forensic Project Manager – Structural Engineering / Architecture
Are you a licensed Architect or Structural/Civil Engineer with a passion for understanding how buildings perform, and why they sometimes fail?
Our client is a leader in forensic investigations of buildings and structures, specializing in evaluating deterioration, structural issues, and building envelope failures across commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial sectors.
Who we’re looking for:
We are specifically seeking Registered Architects (NCARB) or Licensed Professional Engineers (PE) with a background in building design, construction, or failure analysis. Please note: this role is not suitable for professionals in IT, data, or finance.
You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and building envelope specialists to:
Investigate building failures, assess structural conditions, and analyze construction issues.
Produce technical reports, repair drawings, and specifications.
Serve as a technical expert, occasionally providing expert witness testimony.
Conduct site visits, which may include accessing roofs, crawlspaces, and other challenging areas.
This is a field and office-based role with local and occasional regional travel.
Key Qualifications:
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or Architecture from an accredited institution.
PE or NCARB certification (or in progress).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in structural design, building inspections, or forensic investigations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in varying site conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
If you're passionate about buildings, enjoy solving real-world structural problems, and have hands-on experience in the built environment, we'd love to hear from you.
