Sales Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong ability to manage time effectively, and a knack for upselling products.

As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their purchases and inquiries.

Hours: 08.00 - 17.00 £13.00 minimum per hour, more dependant on experience.

Transport required dur to location.

Knowledge of timber would be an advantage.

Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding the products they need.

Provide knowledgeable information about products and services to enhance customer experience.

Effectively manage time to ensure all customers receive prompt attention.

Utilise phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries via phone or email.

Upsell additional products and services to maximise sales opportunities.

Maintain an organised sales floor, ensuring that merchandise is displayed attractively and replenished as needed.

Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and restocking shelves.

Communicate clearly with team members to ensure a cohesive work environment.

Handle transactions accurately using basic maths skills for cash handling and till operations.

Qualifications Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.

Previous experience in a retail or sales environment A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new challenges within the sales role.
