Salary: $65,000/year + Bonus Potential (up to 20%)

Café Piquet is a family-owned Cuban restaurant dedicated to authentic Cuban flavors and exceptional service. We’re looking for a passionate Kitchen Manager/Chef to lead our kitchen, maintain our high culinary standards, and help us expand to new locations while preserving the heart of our brand.

Position Overview:

As Kitchen Manager/Chef, you’ll oversee kitchen operations, mentor the team, manage food costs, and ensure quality. You’ll also collaborate on menu development and play a key role in helping us scale to new markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong appreciation for Cuban cuisine, leadership experience, and a passion for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and train kitchen staff while fostering a positive work environment.

Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food and efficient workflows.

Oversee food cost management, inventory, and budget control to meet financial targets.

Enhance traditional Cuban recipes and introduce seasonal specials.

Implement systems to improve kitchen efficiency and reduce waste.

Assist in expanding to new locations and ensuring smooth transitions.

Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.

Qualifications:

3+ years of kitchen management or executive chef experience in a full-service restaurant.

Strong expertise in food costing, inventory management, and achieving financial goals.

Proven leadership skills with experience in staff development and training.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

A deep love for Cuban cuisine and a commitment to maintaining its authenticity.

Our traditional recipes date back from 70's and continue to preserve the heart and soul of the business. We strive to maintain a family friendly environment which welcomes the past and new generations to our culture and flavor.
