Well look no further! Zinger Property Group (an affliate of RUME Property Management) is searching for an assistant property manager at our property in Indianapolis, IN. Successful assistant managers have experience in property management and leasing but are eager to learn more! This position reports directly to the Property Manager for assigned tasks and must communicate daily on status of projects. In the absence of the Property Manager, the assistant manager is responsible for the day-to-day community functions. Ideal candidates have excellent customer service and sales skills and are adept at interacting with coworkers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist the property manager with all administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to the collection of rent, handling of resident issues, and property accounting tasks

Manage all advertising, leasing, and applicant approvals

Work with the Property Manager to optimize resident relations and resident retention activities of the community

Motivate employees in a positive environment

Fill out appropriate paperwork and reporting as necessary

In the absence of the Property Manager, must be on call and available to abate emergencies on a 24x7 basis

Must be able to effectively work with a wide variety of personalities in interacting with customers, staff and supervisors in a courteous and professional manner

Any other duties as assigned by the Property Manager

Requirements

Minimum High School Education or GED

1 year experience in property management, hotel management or customer service experience

Strong computer skills and working knowledge of basic programs (Office products)

Well organized with excellent time management skills

Interpersonal savvy with strong communication and presentation skills

Customer focus and bottom line orientation
