Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the forging engineering department, setting clear objectives and driving strategic initiatives.
Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Process Optimization & Innovation: Analyze production activities, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
Tooling Design & Simulation Excellence: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of advanced forging and support tooling, leveraging DEFORM and other simulation tools to optimize performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with production, quality, purchasing, and sales teams to achieve shared goals and drive continuous improvement.
Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment, and maintain service contracts.
Technical Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present comprehensive technical reports and presentations to communicate project updates, analysis findings, and improvement recommendations. Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in engineering management. Metalforming experience is required.
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of impression die hot forging processes, materials, and tooling. Proven proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and DEFORM simulation software.
Lean Manufacturing: Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing engineering teams.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Strong collaborative spirit.

Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: $170,000 to $200,000 (commensurate with experience)
Discretionary Bonus: 15%
Relocation Package: $15,000 - $25,000
