HVAC BAS Engineer

Job Description

TeamGov, Inc is seeking an experienced HVAC BAS Engineer to support the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC Building Automation Systems (BAS) at Fort Knox. This role will primarily focus on TRANE equipment and TRANE software, specifically Ensemble and Tracer TU, ensuring optimal system performance, reliability, and energy efficiency. The successful candidate will have a strong background in BAS systems and controls, with a focus on TRANE equipment. Experience with Niagara front-end systems is a significant plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and troubleshoot TRANE HVAC equipment, controls, and software, including Ensemble and Tracer TU.

Ability to troubleshoot, replace controllers, and work on metering systems to ensure smooth system operation.

Implement system updates, configurations, and integrations to ensure the efficient operation of building automation systems.

Perform regular monitoring, testing, and maintenance of BAS systems to ensure proper functionality and efficiency.

Analyze data to improve system performance and energy savings.

Work closely with the team to ensure seamless operations across the HVAC systems.

Provide technical support and training for HVAC technicians on system usage and troubleshooting.

Document system changes, updates, and service actions as required.

Qualifications:

Proven experience working with TRANE HVAC equipment and BAS controls.

Strong working knowledge of TRANE software, including Ensemble and Tracer TU, and system diagnostics.

Ability to troubleshoot and replace controllers, as well as work on metering systems.

Familiarity with Niagara front-end systems is a plus.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication skills and the ability to train others.

Education & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC BAS engineering or a related field.

Certifications in HVAC systems and BAS controls (e.g., HVAC certification, BAS control system certifications) preferred.
