One of New York's top plaintiff personal injury law firms is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented full time Assistant Bookkeeper. Responsibilities - Assisting the Bookkeeper with the following:
Assist the Firm's Bookkeeper with all aspects of financial case management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
Enter case expenses into the Firm's case management system and mail out checks as needed.
Assist with the preparation and presentation of Firm financial statements.
Manage the disbursement of settlement funds.
Reconcile monthly credit card statement's, working closely with various teams.
Assist with IOLTA and trust account management, ensuring proper compliance and reconciliation.
Organize, document, and process invoice payments.
Communicate with the Firms' external CPA firm regarding financial matters.
Request and obtain copies of necessary W-9 forms.
Maintain an organized and efficient filing system for financial documents.Ideal Candidate:
Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.
Highly organized, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
Calm under pressure with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Personal injury experience is preferred.
Experience with SmartAdvocate is a plus but not required.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.Schedule:
