Project Manager, PeopleSoft

***Please note, this opportunity is contingent upon receiving award and is not immediately available. ***

*Must be local to DMV area and must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a government agency Clearance*

Washington, D.C. (DC Metro area)

Metric5 has a need for a Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in leading mid-size HRIT task orders/projects including at least 5 years of HR/HCM system modernization and operations experience. The ideal Program Manager will excel at communication, organization, team management, customer management, and will have extensive knowledge of HR/HCM Systems, preferably PeopleSoft 9.2.

Responsible. Overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables for IT-related projects. Activities include hands-on management and applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management of IT-related projects. Responsible for managing all project resources, including subcontractors, and for establishing an effective communication plan with the project team and the customer. Provide day-to-day direction to the project team and regular project status to the customer.

Responsibilities

Relationship Management

Maintain strong client relationships with Stakeholders and be viewed as a trusted / strategic partner

Demonstrate and provide PeopleSoft thought leadership.

Maintain high client satisfaction ratings

Maintain subcontractor partnership relationships

Collaborate with Stakeholders to report status and ensure that the program objectives are being met

Develop future strategies and roadmaps to assist the client in becoming more efficient and better positioned for long-term success

Apply subject matter expertise to identify, develop, and implement techniques to improve engagement, productivity, mitigate risks, and resolve issues

Sales

Identify opportunities for Change Requests as needed

Financial Management

Provide overall Financial management: Manage invoicing. Manage project financials

Monitor and ensure the project achieves its financial targets

Implement corrective actions for potential financial risks/variances early and raise it executive management

Provide financial management forecast presentations as needed to executive management

Schedule/Deliverable Management

Create/ Monitor / Track project schedule, milestones and deliverables

Monitor project schedule for potential schedule slippage

Implement corrective actions in a timely manner

Ensure project is delivered on-time and on-budget.

Provide overall deliverable and work product management and input including but not limited to: Staffing plans, Project Integrated Master Schedule, Project Plans, and other plans such as configuration management plans, deployment plans, testing plans and training plans, status reports, RAID logs, etc).

Ensure that the work products and deliverables are of the highest caliber to ensure client satisfaction

Personnel Management

Provide overall management of staff including but not limited to: Manage performance of the staff assigned to the program by providing real-time feedback, holding performance syncs, and addressing performance issues.

Approve the selection of all project personnel

Monitor project staff's compliance with rules and legal/regulations

Mentor staff / retain high performers

Communications

Execute the project's communication plan

Deliver and present client status reports

Lead Project Management status meetings

Provide internal project executive status reports/meetings

Risk Management

Manage the Risk log and implement mitigation strategies when required

Manage the Issue log and work to resolve issues

Work closely with Executives and Stakeholders to manage Risks/Issues

Scope Management

Monitor the project for potential scope that is not in the contract

Assess changes and utilize the project's change control process

Conduct client negotiations

Problem solving

Compliance

Monitor project for compliance legal requirements, security and federal compliance.

Monitor project for SLA compliance and report performance. Implement corrective action when required.

Frequently communicate the importance of compliance and establish regular training

Culture

Required Skills

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience managing, implementing, and upgrading Peoplesoft systems, preferably PeopleSoft 9.2.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience performing project financial management, people management, subcontractor management, and hiring/team building

Minimum of 5 years experience with client facing leadership roles.

Excellent analytical, written and verbal communications skills.

Ability to interpret a variety of technical and functional information.

Ability to work collaboratively to achieve results.

Outstanding time management and organization skills.

Superior attention to detail and conscientious quality of work product.

Professional demeanor with superior oral communication skills

Demonstrated track record of analytical and critical thinking skills.

Organized, motivated and demonstrate the ability to work under minimal supervision to achieve desired objectives.

Public Sector experience/Federal Hiring Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree

Project Management PMI Certification or Agile Project Management certification.

Years of Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience

Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 annually

Clearance: Must be a United States citizen and must possess ability to pass a Public Trust Government background investigation

Location

Washington, DC area

Work Environment

Role is expected to meet with customer in Washington D.C.

Occasional travel may be required
