Job Summary:

This position oversees all functions related to shipping, receiving and the stockroom. This is a working supervisor position meaning that in addition to overseeing staff, this role is also responsible for helping with shipping/ receiving and stockroom functions. The Warehouse Supervisor will coordinate with the warehouse staff their daily objectives to maximize outbound shipments and inbound receipts. The ability to communicate with management, manufacturing, quality and sales when necessary. Heavy emphasis is placed on ensuring timely customer shipments. The Warehouse Supervisor works closely with the Shipping/ Receiving staff to promote efficiencies in work process and accuracy of shipping and inventory. Responsible for staff development. Provides ideas for process improvements and works with the team for successful implementation.

Job Duties:

Oversees shipping, receiving and stockroom to ensure efficient, safe and accurate delivery of products.

Responsible for staff development and creating a cohesive team environment.

Creates new efficiencies and makes process improvements as necessary.

Perform all warehouse duties including Pick/Pack/Ship and receiving.

Follow proper procedures for shipments.

Responsible for putting away received goods.

Perform daily cycle counts as per guidelines.

Ensure high level of accuracy with inventory.

Interact with transporters and carriers as needed.

Notify proper parties of shipment status as necessary.

Delivers employee reviews and regular feedback.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be a team player.

Proven ability to manage and motivate teams.

Strong leadership ability.

Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Ability to provide excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.

Computer knowledge.

SAP Experience.

Experience working with UPS, Fedex, DHL and other carriers.

Domestic and International shipping experience.

Education/ Experience:

High School Diploma or GED.

5+ years’ experience in a shipping/ receiving role.

2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50lbs

Able to drive forklifts and handle pallet jackets.

Manual dexterity to perform essential job functions.

Able to stand for long periods of time.

Monday through Friday Days

40 hours with occasional overtime.
