Job Description
As the Commodity Sales Director (Fundraising) specializing in commodities trading sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving fundraising initiatives for commodities-related investment funds. Your main responsibilities will include:
Strategy Development: Formulate and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies specifically tailored for commodities trading investments.
Relationship Management: Build and sustain robust relationships with potential investors and stakeholders in the commodities market.
Resource Utilization: Leverage existing resources and client networks to optimize fundraising efforts within the commodities sector.
Proposal Preparation: Prepare and present persuasive investment proposals to prospective clients, effectively showcasing the benefits of commodities trading investments.
Partnership Collaboration: Collaborate with partners in a cooperative model, implementing a profit-sharing approach to enhance fundraising efforts.
Market Monitoring: Analyze market trends and conduct thorough research to identify new trading and investment opportunities within the commodities landscape.
Organizational Alignment: Ensure that all fundraising initiatives align with the strategic goals and vision of the organization.
Financial Channel Expansion: Broaden the companys financing models, solutions, and channels while managing relationships with banks, non-bank financial institutions, and investors.
Investor Cultivation: Foster relationships with investment funds, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and other investors interested in commodities trading.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant should meet the following criteria:
Bachelors or Masters degree in finance, investment, economics, investment management, or a related field.
8-10 years of relevant experience in financial services or the commodities trading industry.
Exceptional strategic thinking and strong networking skills specifically in commodities trading.
A proven track record of achieving fundraising targets in the commodities sector.
A robust network of connections within family offices and high-net-worth individuals interested in commodities investments.
Relevant experience in precious metals or related commodities is preferred.
Ability to thrive collaboratively in a partnership-oriented environment (profit-sharing model).
Proven ability to lead and work with client-facing teams and directly with investors.
Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
Fluent in Chinese is a MUST
