Functions and Responsibilities

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Enrollment Management & Services or designee, the coordinator is responsible for the effective coordination/management of specific student populations for retention efforts.

Supervisory Role

Oral and written instructions are received from the Executive Director of Enrollment Management & Services or designee, the coordinator may supervise support staff and student workers.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Provides leadership, guidance, mentoring, coaching, and programming for cohort student population.

2. Responsible for program development, planning, and implementation, including establishing strategy, initiatives, goals, objectives, and assessment measures for the program.

3. Assists with the development of a comprehensive retention plan.

4. Track key performance indicators to improve performance outcomes and adjust as needed, collect, analyze, and report program data, and identify key performance indicators for establishing baseline data to monitor ongoing performance as initiatives are implemented for continuous improvement.

5. Serve as Liaison between ECC's student population and the Community.

6. Work closely with the College's various committees to execute respective committee plans and College strategic plans.

7. Develop end-of-semester and annual reports on activities, interventions, individual student and target group progress and outcomes, goals, and objectives.

8. Oversee the development, coordination, and implementation of a comprehensive array of educational and cultural programming

9. Review the program's status regularly and present recommendations for resource needs, services, and activities enhancements.

10. Perform other related duties as required.

Additional Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Experience (number of years), Knowledge and/or Abilities

1. Bachelor's Degree

2. Extensive experience with coordinating a program, preferably in higher education at the community college level

3. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and interact effectively with stakeholders to support program initiatives

4. Ability to create and manage a program budget

5. Excellent interpersonal skills

6. Excellent organizational skills

7. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing

8. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree

Licenses and Certifications (including e.g., CPR, first aid, driver's license, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience (number of years), Knowledge and/or Abilities

1. Two or more years' experience as a program coordinator. 2. Experience working in high education, preferably at a community college in an urban environment
