Beacon Hill's client, a law firm known for providing tailored legal services to small and mid-sized businesses as well as large corporations, is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal. The firm offers support across a variety of practice areas, with a heavy emphasis on its Aviation group, airline defense, and Trusts & Estates litigation. It is also a majority woman-owned firm with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

Location: Onsite, Yakima, WA 98901

Start: ASAP

Duration: Open-ended with potential for direct hire

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM - 5:30 PM (flexible to 8 AM - 5 PM); 40-hour work week

Hourly pay: $34-$44/hour, depending on experience

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

4+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal

eDiscovery experience is a plus

Substantive knowledge of legal terminology and court rules and procedures

Proficiency in MS Office applications and Adobe Acrobat

Proficiency using document review software

Strong research, writing, and analytical skills

Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Collaborative work style with strong interpersonal skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Excellent organizational and project management skills

Ability to work independently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys with drafting and review of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests

Communicate with clients, advisors, opposing counsel, and other involved parties

Manage the collection, production, and review of high-volume discovery

Conduct legal and factual research

Summarize depositions, trial transcripts, and other legal documents

Provide onsite support at trials and hearings

Prepare exhibits and trial notebooks

Track and manage multiple deadlines

Organize case files and maintain client records

Coordinate filings in all levels of federal and state courts and administrative agencies
