Front-End Developer / Marketing Technologist
An established industrial electronics company is seeking a Front-End Developer / Marketing Technologist to join its Marketing team. This role will focus on the development and optimization of the company’s website and digital customer experience initiatives. Operating within Marketing with the technical rigor typically found in IT, this position will enhance user engagement and conversion through innovative front-end solutions.
This position is on-site in Madison Heights, MI.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and modernize the company website’s front-end using mobile-first best practices.
Implement front-end performance enhancements (lazy loading, optimized bundles, code splitting).
Develop UI/UX features such as product comparison tools, interactive fit guides, and configurators.
Build reusable UI components and maintain a consistent design system.
Implement ADA compliance and accessibility improvements.
Integrate interactive and shoppable media (video, UGC, interactive photos).
Prototype innovative features like WebAR, 3D product spins, and gamified discovery tools.
Explore and potentially implement Progressive Web App (PWA) capabilities.
Implement automated email flows and responsive dynamic templates.
Optimize lead capture tools (exit modals, gated content).
Leverage analytics (GA4, Hotjar) for UX and conversion improvement.
Set up A/B tests and implement SEO best practices, including structured data.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, Digital Marketing, or a related field is beneficial.
3+ years of front-end development experience, preferably in eCommerce or B2B environments.
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
Experience with Magento 2 or similar CMS/eCommerce platforms is preferred.
Familiarity with email automation tools (HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp).
Experience with front-end performance optimization techniques and basic SEO principles.
Ability to integrate APIs and third-party services.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with WebGL, Three.js, or WebAR.
Background in developing B2B educational content or interactive tools.
Portfolio showcasing UX or conversion optimization experiments.
Basic UX/UI design skills.
