Business Unit Overview
This position is part of Novanta’s World of Medicine (WOM) business unit. Specialized in the field of Minimally Invasive Medicine, WOM develops devices and accessories so that doctors can operate with small cuts. We produce Cameras, Insufflators, Medical Pumps, and tubing that makes diagnosis and treatment easier for everyone. Our insufflators and pump systems dilate cavities in the body and turn previously complicated surgeries into minor procedures. Together with customers, doctors, and technical experts, our teams continuously search for new ways to innovate.
Job Summary
The intern will execute and evaluate quality and functional tests for insufflation and pump hoses, including but not limited to transport tests, functional tests, tensile strength tests, shelf-life tests, and air bubble leak tests. Documentation will be maintained in English. There is an opportunity for growth within Novanta Brno and increased responsibility within the System Verification team.
Primary Responsibilities
Execute and evaluate design verification tests for tube sets with the help of colleagues (easier manual tests).
Support the System Verification Department in daily tasks.
Job Description
Execute and evaluate quality and functional tests of insufflation and pump tube sets (transportation safety testing, functional tests, tensile strength tests, shelf-life tests, air bubble leak tests, etc.).
Document test results in tools like Polarion in English.
