GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Operates overhead cranes in the plant to strip panels from molds.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspect all overhead cranes before use at the beginning of each shift, check crane limit switches and fill out checklist on crane

Safely transport panels

Safely hook panels up to strip from the mold

Inspect rigging daily before use

Maintain clean safe work area

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

High school or equivalent (GED)

Experience with cranes or machinery a plus. Will train completely for each crane

Must be able to wear personal protection (PPE) such as work boots, respirators, hard hats, hi-vis vests, safety glasses and hearing protection

Works close by, and exposed to, moving construction vehicles such as forklifts, front-end loaders, cranes and tractor-trailers

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be aware of locations and travel directions of other overhead cranes that may be in close travel proximity as not to hit or impact with other cranes

Some lifting of various weights from 5-50lbs

WORKING CONDITIONS

Indoor environment some limited outdoor

Moderate exposure to machine noise

Frequently exposed to moving overhead loads
