Cruise Norfolk, our 80,000 square foot terminal, is excited to welcome visitors to The Mermaid City. We are looking for an experienced Cruise Terminal Manager to be responsible for the daily operations of the Half Moone Cruise Center, as well as the operational aspects of Norfolk's cruise ship program. This role involves collaboration with external teams, government entities, cruise line partners, and contract teams to ensure seamless operational and customer service while continuously developing partnerships.
Department Hiring Salary Range: $59,393 - $98,237
Essential Functions
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Directs the daily operations of the center by monitoring staff requirements, conducting building inspections to ensure facility safety, interacting with staff and guest and facilitating operations meetings.
Coordinate ship arrivals and departures
Manage overall logistics and coordination between cruise and terminal staff
Oversee all business and financial aspects including budget development, billing, tariff administration, and contracts
Provide smooth coordination between cruise line partners, terminal staff, contract teams, and government entities
Ensure all critical infrastructure, machinery and equipment meet operational standards and are maintained properly

Education/Experience
Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Logistics, or related field.
Three years' experience in the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry preferred
Terminal management or port operations/logistics is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in budgeting/financial management is required

Work Schedule: This is a full-time position with hours dependent on cruise schedule needs
Signing Bonus: This position is eligible for a one-time $5,000 signing bonus. The signing bonus will be paid in two (2) increments: $2,500 upon completion of 60 days of employment, and $2,500 upon completion of your probationary period. To receive the signing bonus, you must be an active employee in good standing.
