Job Description: The Nurse Leader is responsible for nursing operations and is focused on the delivery of excellent care to all residents.
The nurse leader will work with the management team to ensure employee adherence to compliance criteria and will enforce policy and procedures while overseeing nursing operations.
Assisting in the development and implementation of resident care programs, policies, and procedures when required.
Serves as the liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff.
Supervising nursing care, conducting education, and clinical oversight of required state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities: Responsible for Clinical oversight of facility operations including planning and development, staff education, and audits.
Partners with ED/CEO and management team members to conduct relevant clinical assessment reviews.
Addresses clinical rest home needs including care planning, policies and procedures and ensure process adherence.
Directs and evaluates nursing department programs and other associated department needs, in accordance with rest home policies, established regulations and governing guidelines.
Management of nursing personnel in collaboration with the ED/CEO Conducts clinical education programs including but not limited to orientation, annual education, dementia training, electronic medical records (EMR), competencies for nursing personnel, residents, families, contractors and providers.
Collaborates with clinical consultant team on topics including but not limited to risk management, DPH reportable incidents, incident/accident, medical record requests, clinical and reimbursement audits, and surveys.
In collaboration with clinical consultant team, lead and oversea onsite clinical surveys including annual surveys, re-visit, complaint, and mock surveys.
Responsible for infection control procedures to ensure safe environments are maintained in clinical and resident areas Communicates with various rest home stakeholders including but not limited to residents, families, providers, governing bodies, on clinical matters as needed.
Responsible for clinical documentation to be in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Conducts daily rounding to evaluate and ensure a safe environment and delivery of quality care.
Attend and/or lead all clinical and other meetings required including QAPI, morning meeting, clinical risk and falls meetings, care plan, and family meetings.
Oversee personnel compliance with all licensing and certification requirements Enforce clinical team adherence to employee conduct expectations according to current and future employee handbooks.
