Job Summary:
Our client needs a skilled Cisco ACI Engineer with extensive enterprise networking experience and a strong background in Nexus switching. This role will focus on the support, and optimization of Cisco ACI environments, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data center networking, software-defined networking (SDN), and automation, along with hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Nexus switches.
Key Responsibilities:
configure and maintain Cisco ACI fabric in an enterprise environment.
Configure and optimize Nexus 9000 series switches in ACI and NX-OS modes.
Manage Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC) configurations, policies, and troubleshooting.
Implement VXLAN, VRF, EPGs, contracts, L3Out, and multi-pod/multi-site ACI architectures.
Troubleshoot network performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cloud, security, and server teams to align ACI with business needs.
Perform software upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management for ACI and Nexus environments.
Document network designs, best practices, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Required Skills & Experience:
2+ years of enterprise network engineering experience, with a strong focus on Cisco ACI.
Expertise in Cisco Nexus switching, including Nexus 9000, 7000, 5000, and 2000 series.
Hands-on experience with ACI Fabric Deployment, APIC management, and policy-based networking.
Proficiency in routing & switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VXLAN, EVPN).
Experience in data center networking, SDN, and network automation.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE, or ACI-related certifications).
Experience in highly available, mission-critical enterprise environments.
