Elementary Educator

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate candidate, qualified to teach 1st or 3rd Grade, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in elementary education, classroom management skills, and a commitment to student development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Teaching all core subject areas at a 1st or 3rd Grade level

Preparing students for NYS assessments, if applicable

Homeroom teacher responsibilities

Other classroom responsibilities, as assigned

Qualifications: Required Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Education

New York State Certification (preferred)

Experience teaching science at an elementary level

Accepting first year teachers

Desired Skills

Classroom management skills

Ability to communicate effectively with elementary team, administrators, parents, and students

Willingness to participate with ongoing professional development and to collaborate with grade-level team
