Essential Duties
Work with the project team in designing, engineering, and construction
Coordinate and interface with NYSDOT and the MTA
Develop construction means and methods, working drawings, and submittals
Process and track change orders
Coordinate material and equipment deliveries
Process transmittals, submittals, RFI’s and change orders
Ensure compliance with all appropriate standards, codes, and specifications
Subcontractor coordination and monitor for contract adherence
Research and resolve engineering and construction problems
Contribute to effective communication between field and project team
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
6-10 years of heavy highway/bridge construction experience
B.S. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferred
Knowledge of NYSDOT standard specifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Prepare clear and concise reports and letters
OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30
Must meet requirements to work in the US (form I9)
Valid driver’s license
Salary Range: $90k -165k - based on experience, education, and training

Sit and/or stand for extended periods
Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination needed to use a variety of office equipment such as computer, telephones, calculators, copiers, and drafting equipment
Visual acuity to perform drafting, review plans, & perform other essential functions of the job
Occasionally walk on uneven terrain and/or across bridges
May be required to work more than 40 hours a week and/or work irregular hours
