Basic Job Functions:

The Finishing Process Metallurgist will be an integral part of the team responsible for implementing Operational and Commercial Excellence. Additional responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement area specific practices that drive world-class performance in quality, cost, and productivity.

• Provide technical assistance to the team and customers driving solutions in process improvement, product development, and efficiency.

• Create and facilitate training for the respective area to expand the steelmaking knowledge of the team.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US, the company will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering

Open to entry-level candidates with Co-op experience in manufacturing - prefer steel mill experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with hot rolling and/or heat treatment processes

• Prior experience in product/process development

• Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis

• Desire to pursue positions of increased responsibility
