Director of Manufacturing Engineering

We are currently assisting our client with a Director of Manufacturing Engineering near Columbus, OH. This Director will lead and mentor a team of engineers in manufacturing, navigating project priorities, and continuous improvement. The qualified candidate will have extensive experience in creating long-term performance strategy, developing the skills of a team of engineers, and can thrive in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide communication and reporting on department progress/results toward divisional goals.

Oversee APQP activities, engineering launches, and ongoing engineering changes for customer programs.

Provide guidance, instruction, and leadership to department managers and team members.

Implement 5S principles to maintain clean and organized workspaces.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

10+ years of Progressive Management experience

Knowledge in one of the following: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen
