Fixed Income Strategist/Researcher – Investment Management Firm Miami

Background

We're partnering with the Head of Research & Strategy at a global investment management firm that is expanding its specialized fixed income team.

Responsibilities

Conduct research and analysis on mortgage-backed securities (MBS), asset-backed securities (ABS), and mortgage servicing rights (MSR).

Develop and refine investment strategies to enhance risk-adjusted returns.

Collaborate with portfolio managers and traders to translate research insights into actionable investment decisions.

Utilize quantitative models to assess market trends and security valuations.

Perform back-testing and scenario analysis to optimize strategies.

Communicate complex research findings to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.

1–5 years of experience in research, strategy, trading, or analytics within fixed income markets.

Strong understanding of MBS, ABS, MSR, or structured credit products.

Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills.

Proficiency in Python and SQL is a plus.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Location: Miami

Compensation: $150-250k TC (Base + Bonus)
