Senior Cloud Platform Engineer - Prominent Financial Institution (Hong

Our client, a prominent financial institution in Hong Kong, is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join the team. The selected candidate will be integral in building the new cloud platform for the organization and will be responsible for providing support in the future.

Responsibilities

- Overseeing and maintaining the Private Cloud infrastructure, including servers, storage, load balancers, and sub-systems.

- Conducting capacity planning, regular maintenance, and patch management.

- Resolving system incidents and providing support to users.

- Creating and updating documentation, such as system administrative procedures and disaster recovery plans.

- Involvement in system-related projects, technical research, and proof-of-concept work.

- Providing Public Cloud environment support, which includes monitoring, deployment, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT industry.

- Extensive knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, and network security.

- Practical experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, and NSX-T.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and SQL Server.

- Experience with Public Cloud services is a plus.

- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) on data center virtualization.
