Are you a driven and experienced business development professional with a passion for mining and mineral processing? Join our IWT_EMEA_AFRICA team in Kazakhstan as a Business Development Manager and play a pivotal role in driving business growth in the mining and chemical processing industries across West and Central Africa.
Position Purpose:
As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for new account acquisition, business growth, and maintaining strong relationships within the Mining (Gold, Alumina, Uranium, Iron Ore), Heavy Industry (HPI), and Chemical Processing sectors. You will work closely with our business management and technical teams to ensure consistent and profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop new business opportunities in target markets across West Africa and Central Africa
Manage existing accounts, ensuring satisfaction and growth through effective account management
Prepare and present proposals to new clients, aiming to win new business and exceed targets
Foster long-term relationships with key decision-makers at customer sites
Provide professional on-site service, including water analysis and testing
Collaborate with commercial, technical, and support teams to meet customer deliverables and exceed expectations
Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring the highest standards are adhered to in the working environment
What We’re Looking For:
️ Experience: 5+ years in Mining or a related industry (water treatment experience is a plus)
️ Skills: Strong sales ability and experience in closing business opportunities
️ Industry Knowledge: Understanding of industrial processes and minerals beneficiation (concentration, scale control, tailings management)
️ Languages: Fluency in Kazakh, Russian, English (additional regional languages are a plus)
️ Technical Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in a technical/scientific or industry-related field
️ Computer Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
️ Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
