Cobol Developer

Position Title: COBOL Developer.

Location: Evansville, IN.

Duration: 6-month contract with possible conversion to FTE.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 20% in office.

Pay Range: US $75.00 - $88.00 per hour.

Who we are looking for / Requirements:

5+ years experience in COBOL development.

5+ years experience with Changeman (source code management).

5+ years experience with VSAM and DB2 (file architecture).

5+ years experience with JCL (job control language).

0-3 years experience with GitHub (source code management).

0-3 years experience with CICS.

Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:

Develop and maintain COBOL applications using JCL, VSAM, and DB2.

Manage source code with Changeman and GitHub.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within SLAs.

Support batch job processing and job failure resolution.

Implement and manage change requests from development to deployment.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including offshore resources.

Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging for quality assurance.

Document technical designs and system modifications.
