SMS Staffing Inc is Hiring Immediately for a skilled Material Handler in Maine!

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Westbrook, ME

Job Type: Contract (possible extension or convert to hire)

Pay: ***Weekly Pay** $32.45 - $33.93/Hr. depending on shift

Shift Structure:

2nd Shift - 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday

3rd Shift - 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Monday to Friday

The role of the Material Handler: The Material Handler is responsible for shipping and receiving duties for departments. Ensuring all inventory is maintained accurately and provided to required areas in a timely manner.

Provides materials to production work centers ensuring adequate controls of inventory

Maintain inventory controls of all stock locations

Packs and ships customer orders

Fills material requisitions and delivers to departments

Maintain cycle counts

Maintain accurate documentation for disposal of material

Responsible for cleanliness of warehouse and shipping areas

Demonstrate solid understanding off current GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)

About the Material Handler:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

2+ years’ warehouse/material handling experience, required

Experience in staging, moving material, racking pallets

Forklift certification or experience using forklifts

SAP experience

Valid Driver’s License
