Position Overview:

We are seeking a BMS Controls Technician to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge building automation systems while developing valuable skills in low-voltage controls. You'll work alongside a team of experts to help install, troubleshoot, and commission critical systems for data centers in the Columbus area.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret technical documents related to devices and equipment.

Collaborate with a team of technicians to meet daily goals and complete tasks.

Conduct detailed point-to-point inspections to ensure system integrity.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, devices, and wiring.

Work with commissioning agents to perform final system testing.

Ensure that all activities are performed with a focus on safety and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications:

Must be 18+ years of age.

Valid driver's license.

Strong attention to detail and a passion for learning.

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Ability to work safely and follow established procedures.

Ability to lift 20-60 pounds and carry materials for short distances.

Able to stand, walk, stretch, and reach for extended periods.

Must be comfortable working in a variety of environments (hot, cold, noisy, and wet conditions).

Ability to distinguish various colors and shades of wiring without corrective lenses.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in configuring devices using software.

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, and troubleshooting techniques.

Experience in the building automation industry is a plus.
