This job presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a group of talented professionals dedicated to delivering unique embedded hardware solutions across multiple technical domains. Your role will involve contributing to a multidisciplinary team focused on designing and testing integrated circuits for signal processing applications, developing custom hardware components, and analyzing existing hardware and firmware. Responsibilities

Design and develop PCB/SMT products, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.

Utilize place and route (P&R) tools for ASIC/FPGA design.

Collaborate with vendors to adapt hardware to meet government needs.

Document design processes and maintain documentation for P&R flows.

Reverse engineer hardware and firmware using approved procedures.

Lead project teams and provide technical leadership.

Set up and manage a new PCB/SMT production line at SPL.Requirements

Proficiency in PCB and SMT processes, including design and manufacturing aspects.

Experience with P&R tools for ASIC/FPGA design.

Knowledge of hardware design flows and methodologies.

Ability to reverse engineer hardware and firmware.

Collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.Desired Skills

Familiarity with specific P&R tools such as Synopsis or Cadence.

Understanding of military standards like IPC for PCBs.

Experience in manual soldering and rework techniques.

Knowledge of FPGAs/ASICs and their design considerations.

Skill in using test equipment for hardware validation.

Experience with DoD contracts and procurement processes.

Aptitude for process optimization to enhance efficiency.
