About the Role
Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Contract Representative to lead cradle-to-grave contract management efforts within the Aerospace & Defense sector. This is a high-impact role, supporting complex contracts across multiple Business Areas and owning key external customer relationships. You’ll work closely with capture, proposal, and execution teams, applying a deep understanding of FAR/DFARS to deliver compliant, strategic contract outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Manage full contract lifecycle (cradle-to-grave) for BOA, IDIQ, OTA, and R&D/Production contracts
Serve as the official Point of Contact for government communications
Lead contract actions throughout the Business Winning Process
Drive proposal risk reduction through terms and conditions analysis and assumptions
Develop and execute negotiation strategies in collaboration with capture/proposal teams
Review and interpret contract requirements, ensuring compliance and accurate setup
Lead change management efforts including notification, proposal submission, and negotiation
Conduct contract closeouts, maintain accurate records, and support dispute resolution
Ensure compliance with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data Act, including disclosures and sweeps
Mentor junior colleagues and lead functional training sessions
Qualifications & Requirements
U.S. Citizenship Required
️ Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
️ Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility preferred
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required (Advanced degree may substitute 2 years of experience)
5–10 years of government contracting experience (national security, aerospace, or defense preferred)
Professional certifications (e.g., CFCM, CPCM) highly preferred
Strong grasp of FAR/DFARS and government acquisition processes
Proficient in contract types (R&D, Production, OTAs, Commercial), risk mitigation, and compliance
Skilled in Microsoft Office and adaptable to various contract systems
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
Experience with intellectual property (IP) strategy in the contract context
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to work independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams
Self-starter with a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and ownership
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
