Job Title: Mechanical QA Inspector
Location: Gahanna, OH
Shift: Second Shift
Rates: $22/hr
Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 3:15 p.m. – 1:45 a.m.
Training (First Shift): Monday – Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Overtime as needed)
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical QA Inspector to join our team. This position requires hands-on mechanical inspection experience, preferably in precision metal fabrication and machining. The role includes performing detailed quality inspections on fabricated, machined, finished, and powdered products. The successful candidate will have experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDT), measuring tools, and inspection techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect precision metal parts and assemblies, ensuring they meet product specifications.
Use hand-held inspection tools, including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
Perform inspections using CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and calibrate measuring equipment.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications (including GDT and third-angle projections).
Evaluate nonconforming products and determine appropriate dispositions (rework, scrap, etc.).
Complete inspection certifications and reports accurately.
Support material inspection procedures and calibration systems.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on inspection experience in precision metal fabrication or machining.
Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDT).
Ability to convert between metric and English measurements and fractions to decimals.
Proficient in reading and interpreting prints, drawings, and specifications.
Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is a plus.
Strong knowledge of inspection hand tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
Experience with calibration and statistical techniques for inspection.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced job shop environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly.
Ability to stand, bend, twist, stoop, sit, and reach overhead throughout the shift.
Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.Additional Skills:

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
