Overview

We are seeking a skilled School Bus Mechanic to join our team @ Kens Body Works Inc

The ideal candidate will have experience with gas/diesel, maintenance, possess strong technical skills, and the willingness to learn. PAY IS BASED ON SKILL.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and other issues on school buses.

Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative maintenance.

Familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT) school bus inspection requirements and state regulations.

May be involved in scheduling repairs and managing the bus fleet.

Skills Required:

Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of diesel engines and automotive systems.

Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.

Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and record-keeping skills.

Education and Training:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Technical school training or vocational training in diesel mechanics or automotive repair a plus.

Experience in the field is often preferred.

Certification as a diesel mechanic or school bus technician can be beneficial.
