"The Laboratory Chemist, in coordination with the Laboratory Head, develops, conducts/implements, maintains, updates and upgrades the laboratory’s sample management system, test methods and procedures, and quality assurance program and is responsible for the design, development, implementation, maintenance, updating and administration of the laboratory’s compliance and conformance programs.

He / She assists the Laboratory Head in the smooth operation of the laboratory; handles and ensures the accurate and timely release of analytical data and information to laboratory customers; and, keeps the laboratory abreast with the latest acceptable analytical technology."
