We are seeking an experienced Piping Designer to support plant and engineering projects across multiple chemical production facilities. This role requires hands-on fieldwork, strong design skills, and the ability to work in brownfield environments, integrating new systems into existing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop general arrangement layouts, piping isometrics, and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
Create 3D piping models for project reviews.
Perform field visits to gather accurate measurements, assess existing conditions, and ensure feasibility.
Ensure designs align with ASME and API codes and support proper equipment access for maintenance.
Collaborate with engineers to refine project scope and deliverables.
Update and create as-built drawings for P&IDs and piping layouts.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in design, drafting, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in piping design within the chemical industry or a related field.
Experience in brownfield environments—ability to integrate new designs into existing facilities.
Field experience required—must be comfortable performing site visits, gathering data, and verifying designs.
Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Cad WORX or Plant 3D preferred).
Strong knowledge of ASME and API codes, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
