Staff Software Engineer (React Native)

Our client is a well-established creative technology company known for building tools that empower visual storytellers. They are in the early stages of building a next-generation cross-platform mobile experience and are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to help lead the development of a new React Native application from the ground up.

This is a high-impact role focused on architecting and delivering a performant, reliable mobile platform used by a global creative community.

What You'll Do

Lead the development of a high-quality React Native mobile app from scratch.

Own architectural decisions with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.

Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers.

Implement best practices for testing, CI/CD, and mobile code quality.

Mentor other engineers and help shape the engineering culture.

Influence the technical roadmap and contribute to long-term platform strategy.

What We’re Looking For

10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years with React Native.

Deep proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end tooling.

Proven experience building and maintaining complex mobile apps.

Strong understanding of mobile design principles and performance optimization.

Experience integrating with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux) and asynchronous programming.

Comfort working in an agile, cross-functional team environment.

Strong communication skills and an ability to lead by influence.
