Principal Platform Engineer

We’ve partnered with a fast-scaling Series D startup, backed by top-tier investors and generating strong ARR. They’re building the future of secure, intelligent device management- and looking for a foundational infrastructure leader to scale their systems from 1 to 10.

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll work closely with the CTO and engineering team to architect core infrastructure, build containerized compute platforms, and drive best practices across deployment, observability, and DevOps.

What You’ll Do

Design and scale secure, cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)

Own container orchestration, CI/CD, monitoring, and internal tooling

Prototype solutions quickly, then refine them for enterprise readiness

Guide architecture and mentor engineers across platform projects

What They’re Looking For

6+ years in backend, infra, or platform engineering

Deep experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines

Strong Python and/or data processing background

Proven track record of leading complex system builds

High agency and ability to operate independently in fast-paced environments

Bonus: ML/AI infra, cost optimization, or data tooling experience

Bonus Points

Experience with security, compliance, or infrastructure cost optimization

Familiarity with data infrastructure (e.g., Kafka, Snowflake, Airflow)

Background in supporting ML/AI or data-heavy systems

Compensation

$200,000-$250,000 with flexibility. Additional equity, bonus, and financial benefits are available.
