The Electric Drive Systems Assistant Chief Engineer (ACE) shall lead or champion the technical design and development activities for Electric Drive System components and sub-systems within an electrified or hybrid propulsion system for Stellantis Heavy Duty Truck programs. Scope of work for the ACE includes, but is not limited to, working with a cross functional team to understand customer requirements, confirm/achieve base powertrain adaptation/packaging, and achieve key functional objectives for performance, NVH, efficiency, durability, quality, and cost. The ACE is also responsible for component and vehicle launch issue resolution during all stages of the development process as well as for quality/warranty improvement efforts post vehicle launch. The ACE will report to the Electric Drive Systems Chief Engineer - Heavy Duty Truck Programs.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

Single point contact for managing technical issues with related to assigned components and sub-systems.

Manage cross functional engineering teams to meet propulsion system integration objectives.

Deliver quality targets while supporting resolution of cross-functional issues to address warranty and service concerns.

Support service engineering and MOPAR initiatives, review/approve service bulletins, assist developing service procedures/fault trees, assist resolution of out of production service and maintenance part supply issues

Support issuance of GIMS, RRTs, and field action documents, develop permanent corrective action documents

Lead/support resolution of plant build and production issues (with SQ, logistics, purchasing)

Support content development of owner's manual and or related supplements/TIPs cards

Resolve related vehicle plant build and test issues

Support Stellantis assembly plant during pilot builds and during launch

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a closely related Engineering discipline

8 or more years of engineering experience in progressively more responsible roles

3 or more years of experience in direct supervision or cross functional team leadership

Strong understanding of eMotor, Power Inverter, Transmission, Engine and Driveline components and interface requirements

Understanding of electronic controls and calibration development processes

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presenting complex material to various audiences

Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with a bias for action and issue resolution

Ability to work under pressure and in a time constrained environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Master of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline

Deep knowledge in powertrain product development processes

Knowledge in application of Functional Block Diagrams, Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Validation Plan and Report (DVP&R)

Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects to successful conclusion

System Level Thinker - The ability to understand how the different powertrain components and systems are interdependent
