We are seeking a proactive Project Engineer to join our diverse and inclusive team for our gas public improvement team. This role involves interacting with various stakeholders and requires a detail-oriented individual capable of managing projects and working independently. This role involves interacting with various stakeholders and requires a detail-oriented individual capable of managing projects and working independently.

Responsibilities:

Review Plans: Evaluate plans for public improvement projects and coordinate with government agencies and local organizations.

Engineering Design: Perform engineering design, calculations, estimates, studies, project management, and coordination of gas distribution installations and communicate design details to field personnel and contractors.

Project Coordination: Coordinate project timelines to ensure timely completion.

Communication: Facilitate internal and external communication to ensure project alignment and stakeholder satisfaction.

Team Leadership: Direct assigned engineers in completing project tasks efficiently, provide peer reviews for all deliverables to maintain high-quality standards, and Mentor and assist junior engineers in their professional development.

Requirements:

Education: ABET accredited Engineering Degree

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in natural gas engineering and utility coordination within public improvement; PE license a plus

Software: AutoCAD 2D is a plus, Automated Utility Design software is a plus

Proactive: Ability to anticipate project needs and take initiative.

Communication: Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.

Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail in all aspects of work.

Project Management: Proven capability in managing projects from inception to completion.

Hybrid: This position does require Tuesday and Thursdays in office.
